33ft Hand-Crafted Yurt
Why 33ft? It’s exactly 10m and ideally suited for large wedding receptions, parties and restaurants. This impressive structure creates our most substantial free-standing space, hand-built in Devon by Yurts For Life’s talented craftsmen. Each wooden component travels from sustainable sources through expert hands to create a dwelling that maximises both grandeur and practical functionality for commercial applications.
Materials and Construction
The frame features exceptional steam-bent ash construction with 76 roof ribs each measuring 4.74m, creating the distinctive curved profile that defines this substantial structure. The 8’6″ diameter steam-bent ash crown wheel forms the structural heart, supporting the entire roof system with superior strength. Every wooden element is hand-sanded and oil-treated for longevity. The cotton-polyester canvas blend provides full waterproofing with fire-retardant properties, whilst the star-shaped roof cap features a clear PVC window for natural overhead lighting.
Year-Round Usage
The foundation summer configuration extends across seasons with thoughtful additions. Add a 12kW log burner and Dandy-Dura carpet for 2-season use from May to September. For all year-round capability, incorporate the thermal lining. The 79.3 square metre interior, with its commanding 4.71m peak height, maintains excellent air circulation and natural light penetration through all seasons.

The 4.71m high central ceiling creates a truly impressive atmosphere, whilst the practical 1.51m wall height ensures comfortable movement throughout. The generous circular layout supports various large-scale arrangements:
